It’s been two weeks since the Hearsay opening, and I’m still enamored with the gastro-pub’s swank appeal.

May I point out that pH decked out the Deco detailing?

Designer Emily and I were treated to a multi-course meal, which included my Manhattan, Emily’s Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail, along with artisinal cheeses, rosemary-parmesan french fries, and a warm baked goat cheese salad. We were almost too full to indulge in the Domino chocolate cake. Almost.

This new cocktail palace on Travis is a must!

A Very DT WKend

The next two days are for galavanting around the downtown grid.

Tonight at Discovery Green, look out for designer Emily and I taking in a screening of silent horror film, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

I must say, German Expressionist design is simply to die for.  The moody zeitgeist oozes from these movie posters:

The screening is accompanied by Two Star Symphony performing the film’s original score.

For Saturday night, catch me at A Night at Market Square: Lights, Music & Tastings in Downtown’s Historic District&.  pH curated the event’s promotion:

I am all about this event – a few old friends will be performing in the I Am Mesmer show at Saint Arnold Beer Garden, and I’ve been craving the cocktails on offer at the new gastropub, Hearsay.  Not to mention, pH designed Hearsay’s swank look, from the front sign down to the fine print of the delish drinks menu.  Clearly I’ll be taking the Red Line home after the bash…  Hit up houstondowntown.com for the deets.
