Minneapolis, MN now boasts a range of top-notch tall buildings, including Jean Nouvel’s Guthrie Theater, a new central library by Cesar Pelli, Herzog & de Meuron’s first American foray in the form of the Walker Art Center, and a new wing at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, laid out by the iconic Michael Graves. The Twin Cities also serves as HQ for the design-conscious Target corporation, budget-minded Blue Dot furniture, and (our personal favorite) office essentials designers, russell+hazel.
